This Robert Sorby 830SH Slim Parting Tool has a very thin blade which allows fine parted sections to be achieved. This is especially useful when grain match after parting must be considered, for example when parting a lid from its box.
The blade is 1 1/4" deep giving strength to such a thin section, helping to minimise flex and vibration.
Blade is 1/16" (2mm) thick.
Overall length 10 1/2", with 6" of that being the handle.
